Online consultations offer a fantastic solution to help you get on top of foot and lower limb pain when you are unable to attend a clinic appointment for any reason.
How Can Online Be As Good As In Person?
Online consultations will never take over from a face to face, hands on assessment. However, for various reasons this may not be possible and an online consultation offers an effective solution to allow you to discuss your concerns, get a provisional diagnoses and a personalised treatment plan so you can start getting back to doing the things you love as quickly as possible.
A huge part of an in person treatment is history taking, this is when your Podiatrist asks you lots of specific questions about the problems you are having now and everything that led up to those issues. Online consultations are perfect for this. You can also show us the area of pain, any wear on your footwear during your assessment.
Based on the history we get from you and other elements during your consultation, we can give you a provisional diagnoses. This allows us to then give you a treatment plan designed specifically for you which may include an exercise programme*, footwear advice, activity modifications and pain management options.
*Exercises are sent via Physitrack, an online programme which can be easily accessed via your computer or a free app on your phone. Each exercise will have a short video demonstrating the correct technique for you to refer back to and information on the number of sets and reps you need to do. Our patients love this!
How Does It Work?
It is really simple! You can book your appointment online, you pay via debit or credit card at the time of booking. You will receive an email confirmation for your booking which will contain a link for your consultation. All you need to do is click on the link at the time of your appointment and you'll be connected with your Podiatrist.
